I recently purchased a domain and would like to use it with my Clubspaces website. Can I?

Yes you can. In order to link up a domain name to your Clubspaces site you'll need to update the domain's DNS 'A' record with the registrar. In addition to this change, we need to map the domain on our end.

  • The IP address that you need to point the DNS 'A' record to is 74.120.127.26
A-Record
  • The correct 'A' record to update is the @, which represents the base domain
Note: You should leave the www and * records blank as these are not supported currently
  • Create or Edit the "www" host CNAME record for 'www.myclubname.com' to point at 'clubspaces.active.com'
CNAME-Record

If you decide to purchase a domain from a registrar other than Name Secure or GoDaddy then make sure the registrar offers free Zone File Control so that you will have the ability to edit your 'A' records. It's not necessary to purchase hosting as we provide this for you at no cost.

Feel free to send over the login and password to your domain registrar if you would like to have us make these changes for you. Don't forget to contact Clubspaces Support to notify us of your new domain name so that we can map your domain to your Clubspaces subdomain as well.

Note: DNS changes may take up to 72 hours to propagate throughout the network.
